Experimental investigation concludes that, thermal efficiency of system linearly increases with mass flow rate and incident solar radiations. Experimental works were performed using water, flows through the absorber. Infrared camera with Thermoanalyzer software was used to study & observe temperature distribution over the surface of absorber. CPC with Single axis manual tracking covered with mirror strip glass as a reflecting cover execute tracking in north-south direction. A triangular absorber made up of aluminum was designed and manufactured to carry out outdoor experimentation in the Mumbai, India (19.0216° N and 72.8646° E) on clear sunny days. ![]() ![]() CPC of 2m X 3m size, 5.88 m2 aperture areas with 3° acceptance angle was designed and mounted in east-west direction. The present work, investigate effect of incident solar radiation, inlet fluid temperature and mass flow rates on thermal performance of Compound Parabolic Collector (CPC).
